June 10 - Greenvale School and RIDE Solutions

Today, we visited Greenvale. It is a non-profit school in Roanoke, Virginia whose most of the students are from lower income families. Greenvale School was founded on 1934. This school is very important as it helps the children who cannot have a good education and literacy such as reading, writing, mathematic, and others. This school accommodates children aged 6 weeks old up to 12 years old and opens from 6 A.M to 6 P.M every working day.

After visiting Greenvale, we went to Ride Solution. Ride Solution is a non-profit organization which promotes alternative transportation to reduce pollution. It organizes events such as Bicycle Month during May every year. In addition to that, Ride Solution manages short movie competition about riding bicycle in the last 3 years. This short movie competition is followed by local and international artists and film makers.
